On a lovely warm morning the M1s hosted, the always combative, Hereford. Previous meetings had occasionally ended with a few too many cards and a bitter feeling of an opportunity lost. Things weren’t helped with Johnny, in the warm up, attempting to decapitate our poor GK Nick. Footage available.
The game started frantically but quickly we settled into what became a controlled affair. With the back 4 comfortably managing most of Hereford’s attacks. And the midfield limiting their options to an odd counterattack. Nick barely had to do much. They scored a goal against the run of play which appeared to throw us off our game for a time. After we settled down we remembered how to play, at which point everything worked wonderfully. Attacks with outcomes in the D, measured ball retention, correct decision making and goals – safe to say things went well. We even managed to see out the game in a sensible manner with the vast majority of possession.

DoD – Myself (Obviously) for apparently shooting but claiming it was a cross “Twas a cross” and I stand by it! Also other things which are firmly contested.
