Ladies 4s vs Hereford
After a few hiccups trying to get the team to Hereford with poorly cars and many closed roads, we managed to start with 11 players.
Hereford had first push back and started strong. Our mighty back 3 of El Capitan Rach, Caz and Katie held them off with Sophia making some cracking saves but unfortunately they did score some goals (some corkers too). In the 24th minute however, Tilly ran, and ran with the ball, with a lovely ball through to Georgie who sent it into the goal.
During our halftime talk fuelled by Squashies, Bethany arrived (our saviour). We went into the second half raring to go, and with a sub!!
The second half was better than the first. Some lovely play from Freya, Neve and fresh-legged Bethany in the middle and some fabulous runs from Tilly, Georgie and Lilia upfront. Hereford did however score a few more goals.
We did lose, the score isn’t important, we had a good time and that’s all that matters.
MOM: Tilly for some wonderful play and skills on the wing.
Lionel: Rach for putting her body on the line once again and stopping a goal on the line (definitely wasn’t over the line).
Special mention to Char, just because I think she was bloody brilliant.
