A challenging day against top of the table Swansea. Six under 18 players were in the squad today and at times we put Swansea under pressure and we started the game well. It is good to give the younger players some exposure and hopefully, as the season progresses, they will start to gain more confidence.
Both sides had opportunities to take the initiative early on but it was the clinical penalty corner routines from Swansea that gave them the edge. They were quicker to transition, knew where to pass and did the simple things well.
Certainly a match to learn from.
